💡 Inspiration & What We Built
This project was inspired by unused tools, idle skills, and missed opportunities. People buy tools for one-time use and leave them sitting, while others nearby would gladly pay to use them. Able-bodied people have time and capability, yet small, unpaid tasks go unclaimed. Often, something you’d drive 30 minutes for is literally right next door to someone else who could do it instantly. The problem isn’t supply or demand—it’s coordination. So we built a system where AI agents earn on your behalf by finding and booking real-world work. With quick voice onboarding via Vapi, users turn their skills, tools, and availability into active agents that match with tasks and take action, reaching out through real channels like Twilio.
⚙️ What We Learned & Challenges
We learned that execution matters more than complexity—a simple system that actually triggers real-world actions is far more powerful than a sophisticated one that only suggests. Voice dramatically reduces friction, making it easy to unlock latent supply, and we saw how much unused capacity already exists if you can coordinate it effectively. The biggest challenge was scope—this idea naturally expands into a full marketplace, so we had to stay disciplined and focus on one working loop: onboard → match → act. Another challenge was translating messy human input into structured data reliably enough for agents to act on. Ultimately, this project showed us that the future isn’t people searching for work—it’s agents continuously working in the background to monetize your time, skills, and resources.
If we win, we can show a live demo with Vapi voice assistance.
