Inspiration

Years ago I had an idea for a website that would let boat owners create custom nautical flag prints. I had never built a web app before, but using bolt.new I was finally able to create it! I was inspired by the gap in the nautical art market. Boat owners pay $200+ for custom nautical flag art and wait weeks for delivery. I thought: what if this could be instant, affordable, and mobile-friendly?

What I learned

Building Nautical Names taught me that bolt.new truly democratizes app development. I learned React, Stripe integration, responsive design, and canvas-based image generation - all through bolt.new's intuitive interface. The biggest lesson was that you don't need years of coding experience to create something valuable.
