Inspiration

I was inspired by a lack of protection for local forests.

What it does

It uses artificial intelligence to detect multiple different diseases found on the leaves, logs, and bark of different species of trees. The Naturisk model can determine the differences between five different fungal diseases, Anthracnose, Tar Spot, Brown Spot Needle Blight, Cankers, and Hardwood Rot. The Naturisk website is incredibly informative on some very dangerous diseases, and will tell you what to look for, how harmful the disease is, and how to save your ecosystem. It returns a probability of having that certain disease based on a percent, and is incredibly accurate in determining the very similar diseases.

I'm proud of creating an incredibly accurate trained model that can easily distinguish the different diseases.

What's next for Naturisk

Naturisk will find diseases in shrubs, bushes, and new plants, and also detecting new diseases. Determining the levels of risk the plant has.
