While brainstorming, we considered common problems to fix in our society. We came up with environmental, health, and injustice issues. We came together with a shared dream – to create a platform to empower people to positively impact the environment. This dream led to the birth of "Naturenest."We decided to go with the issues in the environment and created a web Python application that hosts all the information in one website with interactive spaces. The way we built it was using Python, Python packages, and CSS for styling. We also used hugging faces and training models to create a functioning NLP chatbot. We used Geo Pandas to generate accurate maps and input large datasets. Throughout the project, we learned how to input Python libraries, various functions, and new coding syntax into our project. We did a lot of self-learning and exploring to complete this project. We also learned to create and download large datasets into our project, which took a lot of time. Some various challenges we ran into dealt with UI interface. Some of the buttons and text boxes didn’t work how we anticipated, and we had to do a lot of trial and error and problem-solving to make the website more user-friendly. We are proud of how we overcame numerous challenges and created a functioning website. We are also proud of how our website solves a big societal issue.
