Inspiration
We felt as though we needed to find a way to allow more communication between the nature lovers community. In today's society, we are often drowned out by the roaring cities and well as new technology. We sometimes forget that the most beautiful creations are those that have always been around us.
What it does
Our website provides a community where people can locate parks near their location and host or find events based on their interests. They can set rules and regulations for each event they create to make sure that everyone is in a comfortable environment.
How we built it
We used languages including html, css, and python. Using Flask for a backend framework and bootstrap's front end aspects, we put together a website we thought was aesthetically calming and pleasing that had various functions and information.
Challenges we ran into
Prior to this project, we both knew very little about coding. We had never used Flask, and were both somewhat new to the coding languages. For every task we wanted to do, we needed help from online resources. The project overall was a great learning process! Trying to figure out Databases was hard and was a big step from where we started.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of the amount of information we learned during the creation of this project. From coming in with little information, to coming out with a bigger knowledge base, doing this project benefitted us in many ways as coders.
What we learned
We learned how to use Flask and Bootstrap. We also learned how to properly handle html and css, and use Python to go hand in hand with flask.
What's next for Untitled
In the future, we hope to build upon our skillsets and create even better websites and programs with even more functions.
