Inspiration
We envisioned a marketplace where people could discover and hire AI teammates as easily as choosing an app. Agents Marketplace combines that marketplace with a familiar workspace, while Brainbase powers the agents behind the scenes.
Our goal is to make specialized AI accessible without requiring users to configure infrastructure or build their own integrations.
What it does
Agents Marketplace lets users discover specialized AI agents, add them to their workspace, and collaborate with them through chat. Agents have distinct roles, such as content creation, visual design, and business assistance.
Users can also create custom agents and define their instructions. Agents Marketplace connects those agents to Brainbase, maintains ongoing conversations, and delivers generated images directly into the workspace.
Composio provides the integration layer for connected business tools, with end-to-end tool verification still underway.
How we built it
We connected Agents Marketplac's agent marketplace and workspace interface to Brainbase through a backend adapter.
When an agent is added to a workspace, the adapter creates or synchronizes its Brainbase counterpart. Each workspace receives a separate agent binding, allowing the same marketplace persona to serve different workspaces with distinct configurations and conversations.
The adapter manages Brainbase conversation threads, follow-up messages, execution states, and response delivery. We also built an attachment bridge that retrieves generated images and stores durable copies for display in chat.
Agents Marketplace uses React, FastAPI, Socket.IO, PostgreSQL, and Redis, deployed with Docker on Vultr.
Challenges we ran into
Turning marketplace agents into dependable teammates required more than copying their names and instructions. We needed to preserve workspace boundaries, maintain conversation continuity, and accurately represent which capabilities were available. Brainbase’s asynchronous execution also required careful handling. Clarification replies and image attachments arrive through different parts of the API, so we built logic
