Inspiration

bring awareness to the sustainability of national parks

What it does

Using the National Park Service API, we created a search tool to make retrieving information about each park accessible.

How we built it

each group member took on separate pages in creating the web app. We used NextJS, ReactJs, and HTML.

Challenges we ran into

We have never developed on this framework before, so we encountered minor difficulties.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It being our first Hackathon event, also working on and finishing our first big technical project.

What we learned

new framework, one group member learned about Git and Github for the first time.

What's next for LetsHike.tech

incorporate a maps and weather API to give user more information.
