Inspiration

The complicated process of document preparation We all agree that the need of preparing and duplicating many documents to process a certain document is complicated and tiring. Things will get worse when we forget to bring a single document and we need to get back home to pick and duplicate it again. What if it takes hours for us to get home from the institution? It must be the worst day ever. Not to mention the long queue.

Fear of data abuses and data leaks Identity documents are crucial and not everyone can have access to use the data. And with the rampant news of data leaks and data abuses, also increases the fear of the citizens of data leaks and data abuses for their identity documents.

What it does

Narawang is an identity document recording system that allows users to record, verify, and share the data to anticipate data abuses with recorded data security using encryption and data-hiding alongside access history using blockchain.

Narawang comes from the Indonesian language, “menerawang”, which means seeking the future. So by developing this application, we hope that Indonesia will have a better future in data security, supporting the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s mission.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to finish the application from two user types during the limited time.

What we learned

We do a lot of learning related to the deep needs of a user related to the security of the data they have. We try to think about how this problem can be solved with technology. We know that with today's technology, distributed systems can be used as the safest way to secure data so that no one can make illegal changes to it. We learn a lot about blockchain, and mobile application development and of course understand the basic needs of users and also learn about "zero proof knowledge blockchain"

What's next for Narawang

We are thinking about adding some features in the future, they are: More identity document types More secure verification process e.g. selfie with the document
