Inspiration

Our inspiration was: A lot of us want sleep during the work or only for 20 min, but after that you fall in sleep it's very hard to wake up. How can we help the people to wake up after the power nap? Well, for this reason we have created NapTime

What it does

NapTime is an app for Apple Watch that provide to help people to do a Power Nap or a Long Nap (Power nap is a small sleep of about 25 min and the long nap is a little big sleep of about 90 min) our research is base on the 5 stage of sleep the first 4 stage are NREM and the last step is REM stage. When you are in REM sleep you can not sleep too easy to wake up. When you make a Power Nap you can wake up in the middle of 2nd stage and its more easy to wake up.

How I built it

This app is built with healthKit and SwiftUI. This app work in this way: When you start the app you can chose between two cards: Power nap (25 min) and Long Nap (90 min), after that you have chose, you must relax and wait that the watch finds the relaxed heartbeat (about 45 bpm), when you are relaxed the timer start and you can sleep.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are very proud to do this work because the smart working, is the most popular way to work, and the nap are very efficient to work better, this app can be a new way to wake up in the right way.

What I learned

We have learned a lot of things about the sleep stage, the heartbeat, and what is a nap, what are the advantages and the disadvantages.

What's next for NapTime

Nex step for nap time: End the UI and testing the last things like the heartbeat analysis.
