NapaSaathi — Measure Without Barriers
NapaSaathi is an accessible measurement companion designed to make everyday measuring easier to follow while encouraging people to reduce material waste.
The project includes guided, step-by-step measuring instructions, Urdu and English language support, spoken instructions, and a material waste estimator for rectangular materials.
I built this prototype using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and published it as a live website using GitHub Pages. The goal is to make measuring guidance clearer and more accessible, especially for people who benefit from simple instructions and audio support.
Through this project, I learned how to build and publish an interactive web prototype and connect accessibility with more responsible material use. One important limitation is that NapaSaathi does not automatically measure objects with a camera; users still need a physical ruler or measuring tape.
Future improvements could include saved measurements, additional units, and testing with people who experience difficulties with measuring.
