One of favorite bedtime activity involves watching youtube shorts explaining concepts in math, engineering, computing, quantum mechanics, anatomy and so much more.
So one day I saw someone who created a SaaS that helped story writers create African stories generated with AI and it struck me that a better use of multimodal generative capacity of an AI model like Gemini would be to generate short clips on demand.
Clips that are engaging and explaining tough concepts easily, even to a child. Such videos can be made shareable and everyone can watch it and it would go a long way to provide a stream of content for people who come on social media to learn new things.
I had plans of building this, but honestly, I was reluctant and scared that it would cost me a lot and I wouldn't be able to reach a lot of people. But then I read about the Gemini Live Agent challenge and I saw it as a perfect opportunity to beat the fear. The hackathon has given me a reason to build it out and I don't mind announcing it to friends as my entry for the hackathon.
I didn't face any challenges during the development. I just had to stay on the goal of building to submit on time. Well, I had to be careful with the testing so I can cut down cost. I'm a Nigerian developer and I have been working with Gemini a great deal so I could easily plan the project and execute it with little setbacks.
I believe this project has the potential to help a lot of people and I'm hoping to use the Gemini Live Agent Hackathon as a launchpad.
