Inspiration

Our inspiration came from our school’s website and the lack of clear, accessible information about what to do during flood situations. Living in an area where floods can occur, we wanted to create something practical that could help students and the community stay safe and prepared.

What it does

Our project is a website that provides clear guidance on what to do before, during, and after a flood. It is designed to be simple, easy to navigate, and accessible so that users can quickly find critical safety information in emergency situations.

How we built it

We built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. We focused on creating a clean and intuitive user interface to ensure usability. For deployment, we used Vercel, which allowed us to quickly publish and share our project online.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was designing the website in a way that presents important information clearly without overwhelming the user. We also had to think carefully about user experience to ensure that the content is easy to understand, especially in urgent situations like floods.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of successfully building and deploying our first project as a team. This project represents our collaboration, effort, and ability to turn an idea into a real, usable product.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to build a complete website from scratch, improve our frontend development skills, and better understand UI/UX design principles. We also learned how to work effectively as a team.

What's next for Namtuam

In the future, we plan to expand this project into a full application that can send emergency help signals and provide real-time alerts. We also aim to add more interactive features and improve accessibility to better support users during disasters.
