Inspiration

I was inspired by my friends in the r/autism subreddit chat who gave me many ideas for things to make when I told them that I wanted to enter.

What it does

It has 3 games. TicTacToe, Heads or Tails and Dice as well as a results history area where you can see what results people had so users can't cheat if they use this to settle a debate.

How we built it

it was built with Devvit and VS code. I codded everything myself and did the art for the assets as well.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to get Redis working to store the results history. I rewrote that file more than 3 times and had to ask for help about how it works on the Devvit reddit community.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am most proud of the TicTacToe game because it is the most complex out of the 3 and I am also proud that I got Redis working and didn't give up.

What we learned

This is my first time using the Devvit framework, so everything was new to me. I learnt about how components work and how to work with hooks because I had never used them before.

What's next for Games of Chance

More games! There are many more games of chance to come in the future.
