Inspiration
We were inspired by recycling apps that give information on nearby recycling services. We wanted to expand by building an app that provided more information to promote recycling among users.
What it does
It is an app that tracks how much the user recycles and provides personal as well as leaderboard stats.
How we built it
We built it using Android Studio.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges with linking fragments without a navigation bar.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of implementing a search bar and dynamic statistics with a clean, simple UI.
What we learned
We learned the basics of Android Studio including designing around fragments.
What's next for EcoView
The next step is to actually implement a database for complete leaderboard and personal statistics. functionality.
