Inspiration

We had the idea when we heard about the hackathon, There is a lot of difficulties in Nigerian in payment security, sending and receiving money due to lots of scam in our Country, we wanted to simplify that. And at the same time make money sending and receiving as simple as sending your friend a text message.

What it does

NAIRA App is a mobile payment service allowing users to transfer money to one another using a mobile phone app in the most convenient and secure way ever. Users can then choose to withdraw the money with its debit Visa card, called Naira Card, in ATMs or transfer it to any local bank account.

How we secure payment

Just like a regular bank once you signup, you create your 6 digit code after that you will create anther 2 digit code that you want to be deducted from your 6 digit code every time you make a transaction so that deducted number will be your transaction passcode, next time you make any transaction 2 digit code will be deducted again. (that code will always be deducted from the main 6 digit code and will be reset every month). Users will be able to keep track of their hint code since the total number of transactions made will be sent to their e-mail. On a 5-time error trial of code, The user account will be blocked and will require a video or phone verification using the API.

How we built it

The app was fully built with flutter and dart

Challenges we ran into

The timeline was too short, we are able to overcome it and the proffer a solution. our team members are so new to Sandbox, and we had some issue testing API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are happy to create a secure system for sending money in a very convenient way ever.

What we learned

We never heard of the sandbox, this made it easier for us to learn it. and implement it even though we had issue testing the API

What's next for Naira App

We want it to be our start-up to build the app fully and we will introduce naira app for businesses, which includes the ability for individuals, organizations, and business owners to use a unique username to send and receive money
