What inspired me to do this is based from my experience. I'm a business process analyst that is having recent troubles of managing my time at the office. Because of meetings that are both online and face-to-face, the normal 9-5 to do process design and process improvement is barely manageable. Ending up in different SMEs having to constantly follow up or escalate the process workflow to have it prioritized--in turn making me go overtime. Hence why I realized that to be able to have a ready workflow from a RACI matrix would be a major time-saver by more than 70%, and would improve the relationship between me and the SMEs(internal customers).

It's main function would be to speed up the user's process design/process optimization workflow, by turning RACI matrices (Excel) in to an enterprise-ready process document that is ready for presentation, and has export compatibility to Microsoft Visio to create a detailed process document if needed.

How we built it:

First processing my idea in Grok3 with a .json context prompt for it to act as my App Designing assistant to translate my idea into a working fullstack with it's main function as the cornerstone of this MVP. Then pasted that app design in bolt.new, and from there I tested it out multiple times and iterated an improvement in between tests--making sure everything is aligned, and the input to output of the app is correct, and easy to use.

Challenges faced:

The main major challenge that I've faced was how I can turn the reactflow diagram into something as similar to a Microsoft Visio workspace and diagram. Through Bolt's suggestions (by me asking and it generating and implementation plan) I was able to convert it into a BPMN format.

Accomplishments that I'm proud:

Is that aside from having an enterprise-level workflow diagram, the soft AI-integration of quick RACI gap analysis and AI recommendation to close the gaps aid in the user's decision making.

What I have learned:

I learned that once there is a problem that needs to be solved and that the data gathering of required documentation and careful planning is good, I would be able to solve problems faster. And that learning through iteration with a set project deadline makes the quality of the work and the value added from the learning curve be even better.

What's next for FlowForge:

To have slightly more complex AI integrations like: Natural Language to RACI Process Conversion ; Natural Language Process Builder, where users can use plain English to create structured and actionable process workflows. ; And Knowledge Graph/Ontology Integration, where users can enhance understanding of different processes by having a knowledge base that enables smarter suggestions, validation, and search capabilities.
