Inspiration
We saw a problem that existed with folks who produce fashion products in Nigeria not showcasing their products properly to the World. What most people do is to upload their products on instagram, whatsapp status, etc. a lot of folks only get to reach their friend online and miss out on a lot of folks who need their products online.
What it does
This is a mobile app that allows users to showcase their products and get potential customers and leads online. We love to call it dribble for fashion designers. Some Key Features Includes: Showcase fashion products online. Folks can follow their favourite fashion brand online. Folks can sell products online.
Key problems we're solving for:
- We're serving as a go-to app for fashion trends in Nigeria
- We'd serve as a go-to app for folks who want to buy fashion products in Nigeria
- Folks would be able to follow their favourite fashion rock stars online
- Fashion product makers can manage a repository of clients on the app
Why Mobile?
From a survey for a similar app carried out online, we discovered that:
- Over 70 % of targeted audience prefer to use mobile
- It’s easier to monitor online activities via mobile for our targeted audience
Testing out the app
The default login details for demo purposes are:
- username: buddy
- password: 12345
Technologies used
- NodeJS - (backend API)
- MongoDB - (database)
- Cloudinary - (for storing images)
- React-Native - (for building user interface of the app)
What's next for Naija Fashionista App
We hope to get some sort of popularity via the hackathon and funding to get started on the long run
