Every day, citizens encounter potholes, damaged roads, overflowing garbage bins, broken streetlights, water leakage, and public safety hazards. While reporting these issues is often possible, the process is fragmented, slow, and lacks transparency. Many complaints are misrouted, duplicated, or simply disappear without updates, leaving citizens frustrated.

We wanted to build a platform that bridges the gap between citizens and local authorities by making civic reporting intelligent, transparent, and accountable. Our goal was to transform a simple complaint into an actionable workflow powered by AI.

NagarSeva × RoadPulse is an AI-powered civic intelligence platform that enables citizens to report civic issues while helping authorities manage, prioritize, and resolve them efficiently.

The platform provides:

🚧 Challenges we ran into

Building a civic intelligence platform introduced several interesting challenges:

Designing an intuitive user experience for both citizens and administrators. Structuring an AI pipeline capable of classifying diverse civic complaints. Preventing duplicate reports while preserving valuable citizen submissions. Creating a transparent complaint lifecycle with live status tracking.
