Inspiration

Our inspiration for mySugr stemmed from the desire to simplify the understanding of medical terminology in blood test reports. We aimed to empower individuals to comprehend their health data easily and make informed decisions about their well-being without relying solely on healthcare professionals.

What it does

mySugr is a user-friendly platform that allows users to upload their blood test reports and receive simplified explanations of medical terms using AI. Additionally, it features a chatbot that provides personalized insights and guidance based on the user's test results, promoting proactive health management.

How we built it

We built mySugr using a combination of tesseract.js, ocr and chatbot development. We utilised Dialogflow for chatbot implementation and trained model using Google Colab platform. The user interface was designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind using React.js.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was training the AI models to accurately interpret and simplify medical terminology from blood test reports. We also encountered technical complexities in integrating the chatbot functionality seamlessly and ensuring smooth communication between the bot and users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed a solution that addresses a significant healthcare challenge and empowers individuals to take control of their health. Additionally, we are proud of creating a user-friendly platform that simplifies complex medical information and promotes proactive health management.

What we learned

Through building mySugr, we gained valuable insights into AI-powered language processing, chatbot development, and user-centric design principles. We also learned the importance of continuous validation and refinement to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical information provided to users.

What's next for mySugr

In the future, we plan to enhance mySugr with additional features such as personalized health recommendations, integration with wearable devices for real-time health monitoring, and expanded language support. We also aim to collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration with existing healthcare systems and promote widespread adoption of our platform.
