At the beginning of the day, we did not have any ideas for a project. We knew we wanted to do hardware because there were SparkFun kits available, and it seemed more interesting than a software project. Our first ideas involved odd parts and sensors that we had, but eventually we settled on a program with 3d printing involved. We looked at our supplies, and decided that with an arduino, potentiometers and a display we could make an etch-a-sketch. Then with this etch a sketch, we can make it extrude into a .stl file and make it fit for 3D printing.

The main points of our project involved: An arduino Etch-A-Sketch Protocol to communicate between arduino and java A java program to create a .stl file from our point matrix.
