AI has transformed how software is built. Today, developers can generate code, fix bugs, and ship features faster than ever using AI coding assistants. But while coding has accelerated dramatically, planning has not. Individuals and organizations still spend countless hours translating ideas into requirements, clarifying assumptions, aligning stakeholders, and documenting decisions. Incomplete specifications, unclear requirements, and inconsistent planning often lead to rework, scope creep, and costly misunderstandings. AI can generate code in seconds, but it cannot build the right solution if the requirements are incomplete or constantly changing. We built MySpec to solve this gap. MySpec is an AI-native software planning platform that helps founders, developers, product managers, QA engineers, business analysts, solution architects, and engineering teams create implementation-ready specifications before development begins. Instead of starting with a blank document, users collaborate with AI through guided requirement discovery, where the system asks intelligent follow-up questions, identifies missing information, and helps refine ideas into structured software specifications. The platform supports both Greenfield projects, where new products are planned from scratch, and Brownfield projects, where existing systems and codebases can be analyzed to generate structured proposals for future development. Throughout the workflow, AI assists in producing requirements, solution architecture, implementation tasks, and reviewable specification bundles that users can refine before approving. Rather than replacing human decision making, MySpec acts as an AI planning partner. AI automates the repetitive work of organizing requirements, identifying gaps, maintaining consistency, and preparing implementation-ready specifications, while users remain in control of every important decision. Once specifications are approved, they can be exported directly to AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor, enabling individuals and organizations to move from planning to implementation with a single, consistent source of truth.
