Inspiration

We noticed a painful pattern: people weren’t getting justice not because laws didn’t exist, but because they didn’t know their rights. From tenants getting evicted to workers losing wages and women not reporting abuse — the real problem was legal illiteracy. MyRights was created to fix that.

What it does

MyRights simplifies complex laws into easy cards with rights, actions, do’s/don’ts, evidence checklists, and real scenarios. It includes helplines, a personal legal file, country selection, case studies, search, lawyer consultation, and an AI legal advisor — everything needed to understand and act on your rights.

How we built it

We built MyRights using Base44’s AI tools, creating structured categories, reusable card templates, and feature modules. We focused on making legal info simple, actionable, and accessible. The system integrates AI guidance, secure storage, rapid search, and a clean, user-friendly UI.

Challenges we ran into

Explaining laws simply without losing accuracy. Designing one structure that works for very different categories. Making content actionable, not just informative. Managing time while converting dense legal material into usable steps.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a legal-literacy tool anyone can understand. Created a clean, consistent card system for all rights. Integrated practical tools (evidence file, helplines, examples). Made a platform that can actually protect users in real situations.

What we learned

Legal awareness is a survival tool. People want clear steps, not long laws. Good UI can dramatically improve legal empowerment. Example scenarios help users apply rights correctly.

What's next for MyRights

Add state-specific rights. Enable voice-based and offline access. Build case tracking + violation reporting. Partner with verified lawyers and legal aid services. Add community Q&A and gamified learning.
