My Place

Inspiration

We often found ourselves sitting at home on a weeknight, bored and exhausted from a long day at work.

What it does

My Place allows anyone to invite their friends to hangout in a virtual living room, where you can shoot paint, bounce balls, and play with a variety of farm animals.

How we built it

Unity and C#.

Challenges we ran into

We had difficulty figuring out what would be the most fun thing to do in a virtual living room, and we landed on the funnest VR experience we've ever tried!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The smile it puts on people's face.

What we learned

Throwing things in VR is a lot of fun.

What's next for MyPlace

We want to add a marketplace where users can submit and download shared content to add to their place.

The ability to make new friends to hangout with at your place.
