Inspiration

In Rwanda and across Africa, many people work hard but lack a budgeting culture, leading to financial stress and no savings. We wanted to build a simple, stress-free way to help people take control of their money.

What it does

MyPesa helps individuals, families, and small businesses track income, expenses, and savings with clear visual feedback and alerts.

How we built it

We built MyPesa using HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript, storing data locally so it works offline.

Challenges we ran into

Designing for irregular income while keeping the app simple and beginner-friendly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a localized, easy-to-use budgeting app that encourages saving.
