Inspiration

I was very fascinated by the concept of web accessibility and email is one of the widely used applications of the web but I noticed that most emails are exclusively available in English, limiting accessibility to English-speaking users. This motivated me to create a solution to enhance email accessibility.

What it does

Mylo enables both individuals and businesses to establish a newsletter service for their users and customers. It leverages translation AI to enable emails to be composed and received in the recipient's preferred language.

How we built it

It uses the Nylas email API for sending and reading the emails and Azure translator service for converting emails into different languages.

Challenges we ran into

Nylas is very easy and fun to use but Mylo empowers both individuals and businesses to establish a newsletter service for their users and customers. It leverages translation AI to enable emails to be composed and received in the recipient's preferred language.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I've always aspired to contribute to a more accessible web, and building this app has allowed me to achieve that goal.

What we learned

Learned about OAuth authentication, its mechanics, and the underlying processes. First time include emails and AI service to an app.

What's next for Myo - AI-powered Newsletter service

Our aim to make Mylo accessible to users with limited technical expertise by implementing the following features: Following features we can add to this app-

1. Generate email templates using AI
2. Expose the APIs so that it can be used outside the Mylo website
3. Add a scheduler to the app for sending mail.
