Inspiration
LMU is bad at designing their website. If you want to find a specific page in the school website, good luck! You have to sift through useless information after useless information. MyLMU page is not better. It has issues with easy-to-access information
What it does
This website mimics the MyLMU page but as a prototype into how to make the website more convenient for the average student.
How we built it
Most of the code was built in Repl.it
Challenges we ran into
JavaScript is dumb and we hate it. Motivation, especially when you have to do the code for a straight 7-9 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Notes :) Things are locally saved!
What we learned
A lot of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as sifting through a bunch of documentation and learning how to design a website.
What's next for MyLMU Revised Page
For more customizability, we want to add widgets such that the students can customize how they want to see their homepage. We also want to save Notes via the database rather than local storage.
