Inspiration

Each group member has relations to either dietary restrictions/allergies and individuals with special needs. We wanted to develop a concept/program that makes it easier to navigate the difficulties with these situations.

What it does

The easy-to-use UI allows the user to scan barcodes and see if the product contains something that could potentially cause an allergic reaction.

How we built it

We built the primary program in Python and developed the concept app with Canva.

What we learned

We gained a greater knowledge of Python and started exploring how to create HTML websites and how to put together a simple iOS mobile app.

What's next for MyFoodFriend

Learning how to make it actually functional as a mobile app/website. Building upon with further updates and feature ideas.
