Inspiration

Meeting a doctor can sometimes be nerve-racking. Patients need a way to practice talking to their doctors virtually before meeting their doctors in person in order to increase patient confidence.

What it does

We created a web app that simulates a conversation between a doctor and a patient.

How we built it

We used react framework. We used clerk to authenticate, vercel for the database and deploying, and OpenAI API for the doctor simulation.

Challenges we ran into

We could not implement saving conversations in the time span we had.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully simulated a doctor using chatGPT model. In addition, we created a calendar that patients can use to schedule a meeting with a doctor.

What we learned

We learned how to brainstorm an idea from scratch and develop it into a prototype. We also learned how to use a chatGPT API in a real project.

What's next for MyDoctor

We plan to complete all the descriptions we have not completed. In addition, we plan to reach out to different healthcare organizations and ask if we can collaborate and deploy this project to the patients.
