Inspiration

The inspiration for MyDoc.AI stems from the vital role family doctors play in providing personalized, lifelong healthcare. Like a trusted family doctor who knows your health history, we envisioned an AI-powered platform capable of understanding users deeply to deliver precise, individualized care.

With overcrowded hospitals and limited access to quality healthcare in many areas, we saw an opportunity to bridge the gap using advanced machine learning. By creating a virtual "family doctor," we aim to reduce the burden on healthcare systems while extending professional-grade assistance to everyone, anytime, anywhere.

Our goal is to combine technology with compassion, ensuring healthcare is accessible, secure, and personalized for all. This vision fuels MyDoc.AI.

What it does

As technology is progressing, it also has given us way to more facilities in all walks of life, but healthcare facilities have been growing at the same rate ever since, the low influx of doctors, thus we aim at providing basic healthcare diagnosis as well as high level medical data storage and analysis for everyone, with our free as well as paid features. We provide various levels of ML Models which help users to diagnose and analyze various symptoms, thus helping users get basic healthcare info. This will help increase first aid awareness, and also help reduce the chances of infections before visiting the doctors. The other major aspect of our project is to replace Family Doctors with ML Models, where we store all the healthcare data of an individual on the blockchain, hence giving us various utility features.

How we built it

Building MyDoc.AI was a journey of blending technology with healthcare innovation. We started by designing a user-friendly interface on Figma, focusing on accessibility and simplicity to ensure a seamless user experience. The turquoise theme represents health and vitality, keeping the platform visually aligned with its purpose. The backend is powered by a combination of PHP and MySQL, hosted on Infinity Free for cost-efficiency. For machine learning, we developed a Scikit-Learn Decision Tree Regressor Model, trained on a dataset of over 2,000 patients, encompassing 150+ symptoms and 100+ illnesses. The model utilizes a recursive algorithm to analyze symptoms, narrow down potential illnesses, and interactively refine diagnoses with users. To ensure secure and scalable data handling, we implemented Ethereum Testnet and Metamask for a decentralized storage option in our Family Doctor Plan. Though full Web3 integration is a future goal, it lays the groundwork for storing long-term health data securely on a blockchain.

The platform includes: An Insta-Prescription Model for quick assistance in emergencies. A Free Plan for personalized remedies after sign-up. A Family Doctor Plan for blockchain-based data storage and advanced diagnosis. MyDoc.AI was built to harness AI's potential while ensuring healthcare remains accessible, accurate, and user-centric.

Challenges we ran into

We built our model on python, while we hosted our website on InfinityFree, a free web service provider, but it didn't support python, so we could not integrate our ML Model with the webpage, still we tried to convert the model by exporting it and then reading it with js, but we just ended up with a .sav model, which we could not process with any java script library. The next most challenging part was setting up metamask authentication with PHP Framework, which sure took time, but ended up quite well after a ton of effort and exploring new stuff. Apart from that, internet issues were also a major challenge.

Multiple Health Plans: Successfully implemented three levels of healthcare plans (Insta-Prescription, Free Plan, Family Doctor Plan) to cater to diverse user needs. Blockchain Integration: Pioneered the use of blockchain for secure, decentralized storage of medical data in our Family Doctor Plan, ensuring privacy and portability. AI-Powered Emergency Assistance: Designed a rapid-response system for emergencies with instant, accurate diagnoses, improving accessibility to vital healthcare. Scalable Design: Laid the groundwork for future integration of smart health devices and decentralized health records, extending the platform's utility and scope.

What's Next for MyDoc.AI Enhanced ML Models: We aim to develop more complex models, utilizing larger datasets and incorporating additional factors like genetic, environmental, and lifestyle data for even greater diagnostic accuracy. Smart Health Devices: Integrating AI-powered health machines to measure vitals like blood pressure, heart rate, SpO2, and temperature. These devices will provide instant diagnostics and improve the platform's reach. Full Blockchain Integration: Expanding the Family Doctor Plan to include decentralized health records accessible globally, ensuring seamless data sharing between users and healthcare professionals. Mobile App Development: Launching a mobile app for easier access to healthcare features, making MyDoc.AI more convenient and portable for users. Telemedicine Integration: Partnering with healthcare providers to enable live consultations with doctors, complementing our AI-powered diagnostics. Global Expansion: Scaling the platform to support multiple languages and region-specific healthcare needs to reach a wider audience.
