Mycelium Dreams | Alien EDM Fashion Music Video

Inspiration

With Halloween around the corner, it always inspires me to wonder about alien lifeforms that could exist, but not just any lifeforms. What if I took a fear, and turned it into a beautiful life form. Parasitic and fungal lifeforms 'ick' me out the most just thinking about them, which is why I chose the Myceliums.

What it does

It's an EDM music video, to entertain and inject rhythmic energy, whenever you want.

How we built it

I built it using AI tools and video editing software. I use OpenArt AI for my imagery. My music is created in Suno, where I have a licensed subscription to use my creations commercially. I prompt my animations using Kling 2.0. Then I take over completely, on the cutting room floor where I then choreograph the animations to the music to narrate the visual story.

Challenges we ran into

Complex body and dance movement is always fascinating to me being a born animator, and usually a good test to compare AI animation quality to is generating dance in a believable way. Adding it to an alien life form with VFX is then even more complex.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm very proud how my video plays out with the music, it's meant to visually entertain and it does that for me.

What we learned

I continue to push and challenge my ideas into visual narratives and paths hoping one day to build longer form content without studio's formula, and this project is another step achieve the ultimate goal.
