Inspiration

Students struggle to find events, clubs lack tools to stay organized, and managing campus spending is confusing. We wanted one app that makes campus life simpler.

What it does

MyCampus lets students discover events, join clubs, track spending, get AI financial help, and earn rewards. Clubs can easily post and manage events in one place.

How we built it

We used React Native + Expo Router for the app, NativeWind for UI, supabase, JSON sample data, and OpenAI for the AI assistant that explains spending and offers guidance.

Challenges we ran into

Navigation issues, performance slowdowns, UI layout bugs, and balancing many features events, clubs, spending, AI, and rewards into one smooth experience.

Accomplishments we're proud of

A full Smart Campus Wallet, working event system, spending tracker, AI assistant, reward tiers, and an app that truly improves student and club engagement.

What we learned

Better app architecture, handling complex navigation, optimizing performance, and integrating AI into real student financial and campus life use cases.

What’s next for MyCampus Next for my campus is going to be improving the user experience, fully build out the app which include making a portion for student to add the payment method also building out the events portion where student find the event. we would like to improve on the rewards portion
