Inspiration
In fulfillment with the education track of this years HackDuke 2021 our team has developed a 2nd hand ecommerce bookstore as a solution for individuals to receive affordable learning materials no matter the circumstance.
What it does
Our web app navigates individuals to an ecommerce webapp that provides 2nd hand eBook's to individuals at one dollar a book for 30 days of access.
How we built it
Our webapp was built using firebase.
Challenges we ran into
The challenged that was most notable that we ran into was finding an idea that would check all the boxes required from the educational track. From providing solutions for individuals located in difficult environments to enabling tools to help in the improvement of online education.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our major accomplishment was integrating access to education materials with with the lack of accessibility due to economic and geographical difficulties and providing a way to bridge the gap.
What we learned
We learned that collaboration in the effort to do a common good requires equal passion and dedication from all participants involved.
