My World

Inspiration

Procrastination is a big problem. All of us experience it, and unfortunately many of us are too familiar with its negative effects. Procrastination decreases self esteem, increases stress, and ultimately encourages more procrastination through a toxic loop of instant gratification. Our app was inspired by an incentive to combat procrastination in a creative way.

What it does

Our app will let the user set their own goals in an aesthetically pleasing format, and time the goal. When the timer ends, the user can verify if they completed the goal, and receive "coins" in compensation. The coins can then be used to buy houses, objects, trees, and other components to add to "My World."

Challenges

We are new to hackathons, and we have never created an app before. This whole experience was a challenge, but we are glad we tried it out.

Future Plans

We plan to add more items to the "store" in "My World" so that users can create even more beautiful worlds by completing their personal goals.
