Inspiration
Many people are not trained to accurately interpret common health vitals, which can lead to confusion or unnecessary anxiety. I saw this as an opportunity to build an AI-powered Health Interpretation Engine that helps individuals better understand their health measurements by providing clear, easy-to-understand interpretations.
What it does
MY-Vitals.Check is an AI-powered Vital Interpretation Engine that analyzes and explains common health vitals on demand. It currently interprets:
- Blood Pressure
- Blood Sugar
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
The goal is to provide users with understandable insights into their readings while encouraging informed health decisions and generating a ready health report for verification/Post patient assessment remark to be submitted to a health professional
How I built it
Before starting this project, I completed an online course in AI Product Engineering, and I applied many of the concepts I learned throughout the development process.
The project was built in the following stages:
Research: I conducted extensive research to understand health vitals, their normal ranges, and the clinical significance of different values.
Development: The application was developed with AI-assisted coding to improve productivity, while debugging, testing, validation, and security testing were performed manually to ensure accuracy, reliability, and a smooth user experience.
Challenges I ran into
- Ensuring accurate interpretation of health vitals.
- Resolving UI responsiveness issues across different devices.
- Fixing premium feature integration and access control.
- Troubleshooting advertisement integration and display issues.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
- Built an AI-powered system capable of providing accurate and meaningful interpretations of common health vitals.
- Achieved a high level of interpretation accuracy through continuous testing and refinement.
- Successfully implemented and stabilized the premium feature system.
- Delivered a clean, responsive, and user-friendly interface.
What I learned
This project deepened my understanding of health vitals, including what different readings indicate, how to distinguish between normal and emergency conditions, and the importance of presenting medical information in a way that is simple and accessible for everyday users.
