Inspiration
Our inspiration stemmed from the desire to revolutionize the online shopping experience and empower individuals to personalize their clothing choices. We were fascinated by the potential of augmented reality to enhance virtual try-on experiences and make them more immersive and interactive.
What it does
My Virtual Wardrobe allows users to design custom t-shirts and pants on our website and then virtually try them on using augmented reality. They can see how their designs look on themselves in real-time as they walk or pose, providing a more accurate representation of how the clothing will fit and look in various scenarios.
How we built it
We built our project using a combination of web development technologies for the design platform and augmented reality frameworks for the try-on experience. The website allows users to create and customize their designs, while the AR functionality overlays these designs onto the user's body using their device's camera.
Challenges we ran into
One significant challenge we encountered was with alignment and calibration of body parts, particularly with fitting pants to legs and shirts to the chest accurately. Achieving precise alignment required careful consideration of body proportions and angles to ensure a realistic fit and appearance. Additionally, implementing realistic movement and interaction was a complex task that involved intricate mathematical calculations. Ensuring that the clothing designs responded accurately to the user's movements, such as walking or posing, required thorough testing and refinement of our algorithms. Overcoming these challenges involved a combination of iterative development, rigorous testing, and collaboration between our team members with expertise in web development, augmented reality, and mathematics.

What's next for My Virtual Wardrobe
