Inspiration

University of Calgary has too many systems that should be integrated together (Transit, Schedule Builder, Room Finder)

What it does

My UCalgary is a mobile application that simplifies the lives of University of Calgary students by bringing together several useful tools in one place. With features such as Roomfinder, Schedule Builder, Events, and Transit, students can easily find information about their schedules, campus events, and public transit options, all from one convenient app.

Developing with a new tool "Flutter" enabling Googles OCR with image text recognition

What we learned

Building web applications using Python and Flask web framework Creating RESTful APIs and integrating with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB Managing web requests and responses using HTTP methods and Flask routing Working with Flask extensions to extend the functionality of the framework Deploying Flask applications on various platforms such as Heroku, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
