Inspiration

I was inspired by an academic app I use with my friends. Their point system motivated me to work more, as I liked to get rewarded and earn more points. Friendly competition with friends was the general aspect in which i implemented in my app.

What it does

Targets sustainability by encouraging users to take part in more sustainable practices.

How we built it

I used Figma, procreate and powerpoint. Figma to design the app, procreate for sketches and powerpoint to bring everything together.

Challenges we ran into

It was my first time using Figma, I had to learn along the way while making my product, I ran into a lot of challenges such as how to format and shape items in a frame. I also faced a huge challenge with finding a colour scheme.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Proud of how it turned out in the time I spent on this; I managed to designed the product in order to function for all age groups, with a lot of focus towards the youth as they are the future.

What we learned

I learnt that its very important to plan ahead of designing.

What's next for My Tree Friend

I am currently learning python and java script. When I am more confident in these skills, I hope to complete and make My Tree Friend a real functioning application.
