Inspiration We created MySOS Vault after learning that:

1 in 3 women experience violence globally (WHO)

80% of stalking victims lack organized evidence (NSVR)

Existing "panic button" apps don’t preserve court-admissible proof

Our goal: Turn smartphones into proactive evidence lockers—because safety shouldn’t depend on tech skills.

What It Does MySOS Vault is a digital safety system that:

Secures Evidence: Users upload threats (texts, photos, videos) with auto-timestamps/location.

Structures Cases: AI generates police-ready timelines (e.g., "Incident #3: July 12, 2:30PM – Threatening voicemail").

Auto-Alerts Authorities: If the user misses a check-in, the system sends:

Encrypted evidence package

Pre-filled legal forms (restraining orders)

Last known location

For Law Enforcement: Dedicated portal to access organized case files.

How We Built It Frontend: Bolt.new (prioritized panic-friendly UI – big red SOS button, minimal taps)

Backend:

Supabase (End-to-end encrypted evidence storage – Startup Challenge)

Twilio (SMS alerts to contacts/911)

Netlify (Police dashboard – Deploy Challenge)

AI: GPT-4 to auto-summarize evidence into procedural timelines.

Key Integration:

Dead Man’s Switch: Cron jobs verify check-ins; failure triggers evidence release.

Challenges We Faced False Alarms: Balanced sensitivity with reliability (added 2FA confirmation for alerts).

Legal Variability: Police evidence standards differ by region (built customizable report templates).

Encryption UX: Secured data without complicating emergency access (used Shamir’s Secret Sharing).
