Inspiration
Our team member Denisse got inspired from a client in the financial industry. A visually impaired man named Neil. He has a financial application in his phone, but he usually asks other people to help him use it, and sometimes he rarely uses it. He trusts strangers with his personal information, and that's just not acceptable.
What it does
The application gives individuals who are visually impaired an improvement in the banking experience by the use of the voice assistance.
How we built it
We used technologies like the Google Text-Speech API, Express.js, Bootstrap, and HTML.
Challenges we ran into
Choosing the right framework, understanding how to create a good user experience in the design, and understanding how to incorporate the API into our project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have a game changing functional voice application that helps visually impaired with their mobile banking.
What we learned
How to use different technologies and building teamwork.
What's next for My Simple Bank
Improving the donations section of our project. In the future it would be nice to add a voice activation system
