Inspiration

Globally, many countries, Governments,universities, Schools, Businesses, Families etc. has been trying their possible best to contain Covid-19 Pandemic while also trying to safely open some of the Working Parastatals that are on lock-down. All eyes are everywhere on what the outcome could be for relaxing some of Covid-19 lock-down rules.

The Question is, will it be safe to open up or lift up some of the Covid-19 lock-down rules to allow Universities Students to quietly resume.

In the case of mobility for Universities, Colleges and Basic School Students, Governments of various Countries has been spending millions of Dollars in an attempt to welcome all students back to campus in the fall.

Despite all this Governmental efforts and multi-million dollars spending, various families and members of the public still have fear and question whether if its safe to allow their children to travel and return back to campus. To solve all this issues and provides the Governments and members of the public a way forward, Stay Safe in School was born.

What it Does.

Stay Safe in School is a Web Application System that allows students and members of the public to Update, Reports and Share Covid-19 Hot-spots Geo-locations data whether in the Campus or anywhere around the globe.

Here I build a case study app for Students living in Sydney..

To gather information's about Covid-19 Geo-Location Hot-spots, the System allows anyone to upload and share Covid19 Hot-spots Location address. The Poster Personal Information can be Private or Public depending on what the Students choose.

The Application automatically leverage Google Map Geo-Coding API and Google Map Reverse Geo-Coding API to convert those Covid19 Hotspots Geo-location addresses to Longitude and Latitude respectively.

All this Hot-spots Geo-location addresses are coded and stored in our database to dynamically reflected all the submitted data on Google Map to provide members of the public, the students etc with detailed information's about Covid-19 Hot-spots Location and while advising them to avoid traveling to those infected locations.

The Hot-spots Geo-location sharing can be Private/Anonymous or Public. If a user share Hot-spots data with Public option, then her Bio Data(name, email etc) will be displayed on the Map for Covid19 Location Hot-spots mapping.

If a user share Hot-spots data with Private/Anonymous option, then her Bio Data(name, email etc) will be replaced with Anonymity on the Post update timeline and on the Map for Covid19 Location Hot-spots mapping.

How we Built the Application.

The application was built using Ajax/Jquery, PHP, Bootstraps,PHP, Mysql .

I created database Table called Safety which stores all Students Informations and Covid19 Hotspots geo location data etc.

What I learned

Working with Google Technologies is very nice. I built this application in just 3+ hours
