Inspiration

I wanted a planner that didn’t just list tasks but actually helped me plan smarter. Balancing study, chores, and personal goals inspired me to build My Planner.

What it does

My Planner uses AI to help me plan daily, weekly, or monthly tasks efficiently. It avoids scheduling conflicts and offers visual insights into my productivity.

How we built it

I used React for the frontend, Node.js + Express for backend, and FastAPI for the AI logic. Firebase Authentication handles login, and MongoDB stores all the task data.

Challenges we ran into

Merging multiple projects into one repo without submodule issues was frustrating. Syncing AI-generated tasks with existing user plans took extra care and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I built a fully functional AI-assisted planner with clean UI and smart features. Making all components work together smoothly was a big achievement for me.

What we learned

I learned how to manage complex repositories and integrate multiple tech stacks. This project also taught me to design tools that genuinely help real users.

What's next for My Planner

I plan to add time-based suggestions, reminders, and a mobile version. I'm also aiming to improve AI personalization and support team collaboration.
