Inspiration
Typically many people do not know how much carbon different food manufacures use the ditch carbon api allows this to be seamlessly integreted into an app.
What it does
Allows people to add recipies seamlessly and gives them a carbon rating to make them more eco friendly Has the ability to scan products by barcodes and determine their carbon footprint by way of the DitchCarbon API. Provides recommendations on ingredients from different manufacturers with a smaller carbon footprint
For the text generation, we used the text transformer model t5-recipe-generation. However, we selected more carbon friendly ingredients to use in these recipes using the ditch carbon API so that the overall carbon foodprints of our recipes were reduced as much as possible.
