Every car owner has faced a situation where their car breaks down and they do not know what to do. Repair it? Sell it?
Every decision from here on feels like jumbled jargon making us lost and unsure about what decision to take.
Take Chris, who owns a 202 RAV4:
- APR: 12.9%
- Starting balance: $669 Equity: owes $221 more than the car is worth
- Dealer inspection: flagged a possible transmission repair and a failing battery.
Instead of being confused and overwhelmed by information, Chris should be able to ask a simple question and figure out what to do with their car.
What it does
My Little Toyota serves as a customer-facing guide for Toyota owners. It helps customers by answering a simple question: given my situation today, what should I do with my Toyota? It contains and offers the following services:
- Details - Contains data related to the customer's loan balance, APR, payment, payments left, odometer, annual mileage and market value. These values can change accordingly.
- Future Forecast - Displays a chart of estimated value (with a confidence band), amount owed, equity, and total ownership cost over 6 months to 5 years. For Chris, for example, equity goes from -$221 today to about $12,300 in 3 years.
- Inspection & Maintenance - Shows best, expected, and worst-case views show how repairs change the forecast.
- Next Move - Compares possible scenarios like keeping the loan, refinancing with Toyota Financial Services, extending the term, paying extra and selling or trading it. Each scenario also shows how the result would be in terms of tradeoffs, payment and cautions.
- Find a Toyota - searches for a vehicle based on your ZIP code if the next best move is to buy a new car.
