Inspiration
We wanted to create an educational game geared towards healthy living. Our original inspiration was the movie Inside Out, and how the movie was able to draw awareness to emotional health in a kid-friendly way. We decided to take a more general approach, and have a series of mini games that have a theme of healthy living.
What it does
On the front page, there are instructions and also a "start" button that takes you to your garden. Initially, we were hoping to start with plots of land in a garden, and when you click one it takes you to a game. Upon completing the game, the plot could be watered and flowers would grow. However, due to time constraints, we weren't able to spend time making this functionality so we have a path with flower pots that take you to games instead.
How I built it
We used HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
Challenges I ran into
Our team has limited experience with these languages, and also no experience in game making so we had to learn everything on our own.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We made a coherent product in the end!

Visual design takes a lot of time.

Hopefully additions of the functionality we didn't have time to do!
