Inspiration

I wanted to create my first Atlassian app to learn how Forge works and build something useful.

What it does

The app shows a custom page in Jira with a greeting and some data fetched from the backend.

How we built it

We used Atlassian Forge, React for the frontend, and wrote backend functions with Node.js.

Challenges we ran into

It was tricky to get the manifest and app modules right so the app would deploy without errors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built, deployed, and tested a working Jira app with a custom page.

What we learned

We learned how to use Forge CLI, write React components for Jira, and connect frontend with backend functions.

What's next for My First ATLASSIAN Project

Add more features like interacting with Jira issues and improve the UI design.
