My Drinking Buddy!

Inspiration

I don't drink enough water. I figured a little guy cheering me on to drink more would encourage me.

What it does

It was meant for the user to be able to input the amount of water they've drank throughout the day. The more water they drank, the happier your drinking buddy appears to be. Additionally, you could view your friends progress and cheer them on too. However, I encountered some difficulties, so for now, you can only change your avatar.

How I built it

I used python and kivy.

Challenges I ran into

I am a very unexperienced programmer. I have never used kivy and I have never executed a code that utilized more than one python file. Because of this, I spent a lot of time trouble shooting.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Despite the code not executing the way I had hoped, I am still proud of the fact I had tried to do this. I faced problems, but I did a lot in a short amount of time.

What I learned

I learned more about real time data bases and high level programming.
