Inspiration

My Community wants to:

  1. Eliminate cash and no necessaries displacements.

  2. Help local habitants affected economically by the Covid-19 crisis.

3.Make Local Administrations jump into the digital world.

All in all, My Community want to simplify the operation of recurring payments and eliminate the risks of returned receipts or repudiation of payments through a card subscription system!

What it does:

-Simplify the payment process of fees through the card subscription system.

-Reduce the risks (including budget overruns) that local councils face due to the return of direct debits in accordance with SEPA.

-To reduce the costs of managing bills (personnel, electricity, others) incurred by local councils.

-To reduce cash payments

-​My Community helps in the building sustainable communities (In My Community core is the SDG 11th)

How we built it:

We came up with idea analyzing the current situation of the Local Government in connexion with Covid-10 Crisis and then we starting using Agile Technics such as Lean Startup to build it up. The result, My Community.

Challenges we ran into:

The difficulties to work and express ideas in distance. The different schedules.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

All Community Team are proud to have found an idea that can be an instrument to cope with the Covid-19 Crisis while it helps the Local Governments to digitalized and work in line with the 11th Sustainable Goal.

What we learned:

How to detect Covid-19 problems and how to connect them with th local government problems. Another point to highlight is how all the team has learnt to develop, create and solving a worldwide problem using technologic instruments. The last but not least, how an european problem links minds worldwide with the same goal: help Europe.

What's next for My Community

  1. Searching for financing. ​

  2. Looking for partners:​ (i) local governments ​; (ii) technological partners ​and (iii) card payment management companies. ​

  3. Conect My Community with APIs and bank systems.

  4. Develop the technological platform
