Inspiration

This inspiration came from ELC. I had the idea to make it easier to access the beauty industry and provide beauty experiences from consumers with disabilities to general consumers by utilizing web technology.

What it does

The ELC Beauty Store web design of mine functions to display and sell beauty products (lips, blushes, eyeshadows, mascaras, eyebrows) where in this web store there are many features that make it easy for consumers to access them.

How we built it

I designed this web store by studying additional needs, especially for consumers with disabilities, including:

  1. Ease of accessing the web by designing a clean and user-friendly web appearance.
  2. Easy-to-read text, clear and contrasting colors, as well as clear photos and pictures when accessed by consumers.
  3. Text to speech feature where every text in the web store can be converted into audio so consumers who need audio translation can be helped.
  4. The speech to text feature in the product search menu where consumers can search by typing can also search using the consumer's voice.
  5. Responsive live chat communication feature where consumers can ask directly to ELC Beauty store customer service regarding the makeup they need, and
  6. The try virtual feature is access to augmented reality virtual makeup for ELC Beauty products that can be applied directly to the consumer's face.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge is how to create this Web Store so that it can help consumers, especially people with disabilities, to easily find suitable makeup products.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An achievement that I am proud of is successfully designing the ELC Beauty Store website.

What we learned

After completing the ELC Beauty Store web design, it opens up even more insight that consumers are diverse, from general consumers to consumers with disabilities, and how do we create solutions for them.

What's next for ELC Beauty Store

The next plan is for the ELC Beauty Store to provide additional tools for consumers, especially consumers with disabilities, in finding makeup that suits them easily and friendly.
