MY BABY

Growing up in rural Pakistan, I saw pregnant women in my community struggle due to:

  • Limited access to healthcare.
  • Societal taboos around pregnancy.
  • Emotional distress and preventable complications.
  • My family’s experience motivated me to make a difference.
  • This inspired My Baby — a platform to empower women, break taboos, and bridge the healthcare gap.

During pregnancy, women face multiple challenges, including tracking their baby’s growth, managing physical and mental wellness, and planning for childbirth and postpartum care. Inspired by the need for holistic support, we created My Baby to simplify and enhance the pregnancy journey for mothers-to-be.

What We Learned

Throughout this journey, we gained valuable insights into integrating advanced AI models, designing user-friendly interfaces, and understanding the importance of personalized health solutions. We also learned how to tackle real-world challenges like ensuring data privacy and building reliable health tracking features.

How We Built It

  • Health Monitoring: Features like weight tracking, blood pressure input, and symptom checkers were implemented using data analysis and input validation techniques.

  • Mental Wellness Tools: AI-driven meditation guides, stress-level tracking, and mood monitoring help users maintain mental well-being.

  • Nutrition & Exercise: Meal planners and exercise guides are personalized based on user data and activity levels.

  • Virtual Doula: Features like birth planning, labor preparation, and postpartum care use conversational AI to provide reliable assistance.

  • Voice-to-Voice and Text-to-Text Conversations: Powered by Whisper-large-v3-turbo (for voice transcription), LLaMA models (for conversational AI), and TTS (for text-to-speech responses).

  • Platforms: The app is built with Streamlit for its front-end and leverages Python libraries and APIs for back-end functionality.

Challenges We Faced

  • Ensuring the accuracy of health-related recommendations using AI.
  • Seamlessly integrating multiple AI models like Whisper, TTS, and LLaMA.
  • Designing an intuitive user interface for a diverse audience.
  • Handling privacy and security concerns for sensitive user data.
