Inspiration
I wanted to imagine how the Logitech MX-Ink Stylus could be introduced into casual gaming by using this tool as a sports game controller. Could also be combined with some type of accessory handle to slide the stylus into, making it feel like real sports equipment.
What it does
Our concept video demonstrates how the MX-Ink Stylus could be used as a virtual sports game controller. It feels natural for golf swings, baseball hits, tennis serves and more. The video combines Sora generated visuals with live demonstrations to illustrate this gaming potential.
How we built it
I created this concept using Sora image generation tools for the game visualizations, combined with live-action footage to demonstrate natural stylus movements. The video treatment showcases how the stylus could be used in real gaming scenarios.
Challenges we ran into
I created a WebXR site to test the stylus and make sure it could be used as a game controller. That example can be found at www.spatialsense.vision or at this Youtube video: https://youtu.be/G_aQk0fgFpg. After confirming, I started using Sora for video generating my ideas which did take some time but you find a few gems in the rough. I would like to implement Unity for the full gaming suite.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully visualizing how an existing productivity tool could be reimagined for gaming, creating compelling visuals that showcase the potential, and developing a concept that aligns with Logitech's innovation goals.
What we learned
Built my first WebXR site for the testing ground. Also first time combining AI-generated videos, traditional CG with live footage to create a compelling product concept video. It was also fun to imagine and present innovative uses for existing technology.
What's next for MX-Sports Concept
We hope to catch Logitech's attention with this fresh perspective on their stylus technology and potentially collaborate on developing these gaming applications further, helping expand the reach of the MX-Ink Stylus.
